M. Brent Stevens – Mr. Stevens is the Manager of Peninsula Pacific. Most recently, Mr. Stevens was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Peninsula Gaming, a company which he founded in 1997 and sold to Boyd Gaming Corporation in 2012. From 1990 through 2010 Mr. Stevens was a founding member of the Investment Banking Department at Jefferies & Company, holding various positions, most recently as an Executive Vice President and Head of Capital Markets. He was also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He previously worked in the Investment Banking Department of Drexel Burnham Lambert after beginning his career at KPMG.
Mr. Stevens received a Master’s in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from the University of Southern California.
Christian Morris – Mr. Morris is the Director of Corporate Development at Peninsula Pacific. From June 2010 through November 2012, Mr. Morris served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Peninsula Gaming. Prior to Peninsula Gaming, Mr. Morris was an investment banker at Jefferies & Company since July 1997. His most recent position at Jefferies was as a Managing Director serving as co-head of leveraged finance.
Mr. Morris has a MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles and a BS from the University of California at Berkeley.
Mary Ellen Kanoff – Ms. Kanoff is General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of Peninsula Pacific. Since joining Peninsula Pacific in 2013, Ms. Kanoff has established the legal department and handles legal aspects for investments, project development, acquisitions, dispositions, compliance and litigation. She also serves as a Board Member of certain portfolio companies and regularly advises board members and senior management of portfolio entities. Prior to joining Peninsula Pacific, Ms. Kanoff was a Partner at the law firm of Latham & Watkins where she specialized in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and private equity, handling public and private securities offerings and other complex financing transactions. She also served as an active Leader in the Hospitality, Gaming and Leisure, Retail and Consumer Products and Media industry groups.
Ms. Kanoff received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) where she was the Senior Note Editor of the Berkeley Law Review. She also received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Berkeley where she was Phi Beta Kappa.
Matthew Homme – Mr. Homme is a Managing Director at Peninsula Pacific. Prior to joining Peninsula Pacific in July 2013, Mr. Homme was a Principal with Aurora Resurgence where he focused on buyouts and special situations investments for middle-market companies and served on the boards of directors of multiple portfolio companies in North America and Europe. Previously, Mr. Homme worked in the Investment Banking Department of Jefferies & Company where he specialized in high yield and mezzanine underwritings, mergers & acquisitions and restructuring advisory assignments for companies across a broad range of industries both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Homme received a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Stephen Alarcon – Mr. Alarcon is a Vice President at Peninsula Pacific. Prior to joining, he was a Vice President at Aurora Resurgence. Previously, Mr. Alarcon was an Analyst in the distressed investing team of Highland Capital Management, a global leading alternative investment management firm. Mr. Alarcon focused on making debt and equity investments in a variety of middle market companies at both prior firms. Prior to Highland, Mr. Alarcon was an Analyst in the Global Leveraged Finance Group at Lehman Brothers, specializing in high yield and mezzanine underwritings, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring advisory assignments for companies across a broad range of industries both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Alarcon received a bachelor of business administration, with high honors, from the McCombs School of Business at University of Texas at Austin.

Derek Stevens – Mr. Stevens is an Associate at Peninsula Pacific. Previously, Mr. Stevens worked in the Investment Banking Department at Macquarie Capital. While at Macquarie Capital, Mr. Stevens specialized in debt and equity financings, principal investments and mergers and acquisitions for companies across the gaming, lodging and leisure sectors. Prior to Macquarie, Mr. Stevens worked as a junior analyst in the corporate credit research team at Payden and Rygel Investment Management.
Mr. Stevens received a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles and received a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University.
