The Showground camping area is spacious and uncluttered. There is easy access to all amenities and if you’re travelling with horses, we have yards and stables for overnight hire. Half-way between Sydney and Brisbane, Armidale is the perfect stop-off for a visit to NSW’s extraordinary high country. McSWEENEY RANCH is situated approximately 25 minutes outside CASINO NSW and runs a fine line of black angus cattle. The McSWEENEY RANCH gives you the opportunity to rent out 1 of 2 private cabins for your stay. These cabins are able to fit 3 king beds, meaning plenty of room for you, your friends and family.

Aranyani Bison Adventure Tourist Park is set on 1180 acres in the beautiful Bungawalbin catchment at Myrtle Creek, NSW. Aranyani is a working American Bison ranch offering visitors one of Australia’s unique experiences. You can come for the day or glamp it up in one of our Native American style tipis or camp in one of our level campsites for tents, caravans or RV’s. For day visitors we are open from 10-5pm every day of the week. Please call ahead to confirm as Aranyani Bison does get booked out for events and functions.

Travelling with horses

The Armidale Showground is a regional equestrian centre, with numerous secure yards, stables and stallion boxes available for casual hire. Space is not an issue, with plenty of parking for floats and trucks.

Too tired to cook or looking for something different? Take advantage of the delicious, homestyle frozen meals available for sale to Showground patrons – all reasonably priced and cooked onsite with fresh, local produce.

From the North: turn left off the New England Highway, at the roundabout, onto Glen Innes Road. Travel 1.5 kilometres then turn right at the traffic lights onto Marsh Street. Travel 1 kilometre then turn left at the roundabout, just passed the Information Centre, onto Dumaresq Street. Continue along Dumaresq, past Kennedy Street and you will see the entrance to the showground approximately 100 metres on the left.

From the South: turn right off the New England Highway at the roundabout, onto Waterfall Way. Follow Waterfall Way towards Dorrigo and Coffs Harbour for 5 kilometres then turn left onto Marsh Street towards Glen Innes. Travel 600 metres then turn right onto Dumaresq Street. Continue along Dumaresq, past Kennedy Street and you will see the entrance to the showground approximately 100 metres on the left.
